Note: The opinions expressed here are my takes on the Green Bay Packers' key players during the 2012 fantasy football season. All statistics and point totals are based on Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football standard scoring system.
Aaron Rodgers, QB
Rodgers had a surprisingly mediocre week against the Chicago Bears earning just 11.16 fantasy points. This week he faces a Seattle Seahawks defense that allowed 12.94 fantasy points to Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo last week. While Rodgers had an off week, do not expect it do develop into a trend moving forward. He should return to old form earning 21.00 fantasy points this week.
Cedric Benson, RB
Benson finished the week earning 11.60 fantasy points against the Bears. This week he faces a Seattle defense that has given up just 8.90 fantasy points all season to running backs. He faces a very tough matchup and may be better suited for the bench this week if better options are available.
Greg Jennings, WR
Jennings did not participate against Chicago last week and has been limited in practice this week while recovering from a groin injury. He is expected to participate this week against the Seahawks but will likely not be at full capacity. Lowered expectations should be had this week for Jennings.
Jordy Nelson, WR
Nelson finished the week earning 8.40 fantasy points against the Bears. This week he faces a Seahawks' defense that gave up 14.00 fantasy points to Dallas wide receivers last week. This may not be the most ideal matchup this week, however with limited expectations from Jennings, he should still be one of Rodgers' primary targets. Expect a 9.00 fantasy point performance this week.
Jermichael Finley, TE
Finley finished the week earning just 0.60 fantasy points against Chicago. This week he faces a Seahawks' defense that has given up just 6.60 fantasy points to tight ends all season. This is yet another matchup that is not ideal but Finley is traditionally a solid target for Rodgers. Hope for a 5.00 fantasy point game this week.
Defense
The Packers defense had a spectacular game last week earning 19.00 fantasy points against the Bears. This week they face a Seattle team that has allowed 12.00 fantasy points all season. It may not be the most ideal matchup of the week, but look for Green Bay to come away with 10.00 fantasy points when all is said and done.
