Other key performers for Phoenix were Marcus Morris with 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Ish Smith with 10 points and 6 assists. Anthony Davis had another strong performance for New Orleans despite the loss, putting up 32 points on 14-18 shooting from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line. He also recorded 9 rebounds.
The Suns combined an eFG% of 60.8% with 43.5% 3-point shooting. They are 10-2 this year when registering marks above 55% and 40% in those respective statistics. The Pelicans, on the other hand, are winless (0-10) when allowing opponents to hit those marks.
New Orleans (23-35) has now lost six straight games.
