Goran Dragic scores 32 as Suns crush Knicks

Goran Dragic scored 32 points to help the Phoenix Suns dismantle the New York Knicks, 112-88. The Suns shot 40-88 (45.5%) from the field and controlled the offensive glass with 18 rebounds. Phoenix (44-29) has now won six straight games, dating back to a 109-93 victory over the Orlando Magic on March 19th.

Dragic finished 11-17 (5-9 from three-point range) and 5-7 from the free throw line, in an efficient offensive performance. Other top contributors for Phoenix included Eric Bledsoe with 16 points and 7 rebounds, Markieff Morris with 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Miles Plumlee with 11 points and 12 rebounds. On 8-20 shooting (2-6 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 3-5 from the free throw line, Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points for New York in the loss. He also tallied 7 rebounds. Amare Stoudemire added 19 points and 6 rebounds.

The Knicks paired an eFG% of 44.8% alongside a substandard FTA rate of 18.4. They are winless (0-6) when they drop below 45% and 20.0 in those respective offensive factors this season. The Suns, on the other hand, are 1-0 when holding their opponents under those marks.

This drops New York (30-43) to 1-1 against Phoenix on the year.

Coming up, the Suns take on the Los Angeles Lakers, who are 24-48 on the season. The Knicks match up against the Golden State Warriors, currently sitting at 45-27 this year. The Suns emerged victorious each of the last three times against Los Angeles. The Knicks have a 0-1 record against Golden State this season.
