Goodson: Torn MCL, ACL ends season

New York Jets running back Mike Goodson confirmed on Twitter Monday that the knee injury he sustained in Sunday's 19-6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers will end his season.

"MRI Shows that I Tore My MCL and ACL yesterday... Not to happy right now But Everything Happens for a reason!"

Goodson was injured while trying to tackle Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons after an interception off Jets quarterback Geno Smith in the fourth quarter.

It was a short season for Goodson. He was suspended the first four games stemming from a May arrest, which included marijuana possession and weapons violations charges. He was banned for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Goodson rushed for 32 yards on just three carries against the Atlanta Falcons in his season debut and gained 29 yards on the ground on four carries against the Steelers.
