Golf is one of my favorite summertime sports. I have been enjoying golf since I was 20-years-old, and went on my first golfing trip with my uncle. I have traveled all over the Unites States playing golf at various venues. There are some golf courses that I have played at that are rather interesting to say the least.
This is the reason I bring to you my top five golf destinations. Some of these courses are located in paradise, others are encompassed with craters, and yet at least one of them is located at an airport. This is the reason that these golf courses all round out my top five favorite locations to play a round of golf.
Destination number one
I first played at the Airport Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio, in 2010 on a trip to see some family members that reside in Columbus. The reason I enjoyed this golf course is that it's located at the Columbus Airport. This golf course provides you with some interesting views of planes coming into the airport, while providing you with some fun before, or after your flight. This is the reason that this airport golf course made my top five favorite golf courses list.
Destination number two
Our second stop lands us a hole-in-one on at the Islandside Golf Course in Longboat Key, Fla. Is there any reason that we should not love this golf course since it is a part of the lovely Longboat Key Club and Resort? How much more luxurious could a vacation at the Longboat Key Club and Resort be? You get to play golf and then relax in your luxurious suite. The combination of golf and relaxation at the Longboat Key Club and Resort is what makes this a perfect vacation destination.
Destination number three
Every golfer should play a round at Hawaii's Volcano Golf and Country Club located on the Big Island. This is one of my favorite golf courses because it is located in paradise. The islands of Hawaii are beautiful, and this golf course is to. This course offers up some of the most beautiful water traps I have ever played. This is the reason I love the Volcano Golf and Country Club course.
Destination number four
Our next destination takes us to Cathedral City, Calif. This golf course is known as Cimarron Golf Resort. This golf course offers up some of the most beautiful mountain views in all of the United States, while playing a round of golf. Not to mention this is California, and the weather here is awesome. This is what makes Cimarron Golf Resort on of my top five favorite golf courses.
Destination number five
The last destination on our trip brings us to the world renowned Broadmoor Golf Course in Colorado Springs, Colo. This golf course is not only in my own hometown, but is also the first golf course I ever played on. I played at the Broadmoor Golf Course with my uncle when I was 20-years-old. The fact that it is in my own hometown, and the fact that it's the first course I ever played on is what makes this course one of my favorites. Not to mention that the pro's play on this golf course too.
I have been playing golf for the last 11 years, and find it to give me strength while fighting multiple sclerosis.
