LAST YEAR: Jonas Blixt of Sweden claimed his first PGA Tour victory by holing a four-foot putt for par on the final hole to beat Tim Petrovic and Jason Kokrak by one stroke. Blixt, who added a second victory earlier this year in the Greenbrier Classic, sank a nine-foot birdie putt on the 15th hole to tie for the lead and went ahead with a seven-footer for his fifth birdie of the round at No. 17 on his way to a closing round of 3-under-par 68. Kokrak, who eagled the 17th hole, needed a birdie to force a playoff and barely missed from 47 feet to close out a 68. Petrovic closed with a 64 but missed a 26-foot birdie putt on No. 18 that would have forced extra holes.
CHAMPIONS TOUR: SAS Championship at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, N.C., Oct. 11-13.

LAST YEAR: Bernhard Langer of Germany made birdies on the last two holes to finish off a 9-under-par 63 in the final round to claim his 16th victory on the Champions Tour by two strokes over Jay Don Blake. Langer began the final round four strokes behind Blake. On the final hole, Blake needed a birdie to force a playoff, but hit a tree with this tee shot and made bogey to shoot 68. Langer, plagued by the putting yips at times during his career, had 11 one-putts in the final round, five on the last six holes. He challenged for the lead early on Sunday with birdies on five of his first nine holes and added another on the 13th hole to tie for the lead.
LPGA TOUR: Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Thursday through Sunday.
TV: Thursday through Sunday, 12:30 a.m.-4:30 a.m. EDT, on the Golf Channel each day.
LAST YEAR: Inbee Park of South Korea, on a run that eventually would take her to No. 1 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, birdied four of the first five holes on the back nine en route to a closing 4-under-par 67 and beat defending champion Na Yeon Choi, also of South Korea, by two strokes. Park claimed her second LPGA Tour victory of 2012. She won six more times this season, including three majors. Choi, who captured the U.S. Women's Open earlier in 2012 at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wis., took a two-stroke lead into the final round in her title defense in Malaysia by posting scores of 65-67-68, but she closed with a 71. Her hopes of a repeat win ended when she carded a bogey on the 17th hole.
