Golden State Warriors Play Phoenix Suns in Preseason Finale: Fan’s Preview

Yahoo Contributor Network

The Golden State Warriors head back home for their final preseason game of the year. Coming off an 88-71 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, the Warriors wrap up their preseason schedule with a game against the Phoenix Suns. Since the two teams are facing one another just eight days later in the season opener on Wednesday, October 31, this game will serve as a preview of what's to come for both teams.

As the Warriors' final tune-up before their opener on Halloween night, this will be the last chance game action for the team in over one week. With a 5-2 record, the Warriors' core of young players have done well in these preseason games. As a meaningless game, this will be likely be the last time undrafted free agents Tarence Kinsey, Lance Goulbourne, Carlon Brown, and Rick Jackson get playing time with the Warriors before being waived from their contracts.

As for the Warriors opponent, the Suns are also on the back end of a back-to-back road trip. After defeating the Sacramento Kings 103-88, the Suns continue their Northern California road trip in Oakland. With newcomers Luis Scola, Michael Beasley, Jermaine O'Neal, and Wes Johnson now on the roster, the Warriors will get an early look at these players' roles on the Suns.
