|World Player of the Week |
Jose Mourinho has made plenty of noise over his unhappiness with the lack of goals from his strikers at Chelsea this season.
But having been overlooked for the majority of the campaign, Demba Ba has struck twice in a week to offer his manager a reminder of his talents in front of goal as the stretch run intensifies both domestically and in Europe.
Goal's Alec Fenn said: "The striker has barely had a look in behind Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres at Stamford Bridge this season. However, the 28-year-old delivered the perfect response when handed the opportunity to prove his worth this week.
"He struck the crucial second goal as Chelsea saw off Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League before scoring the only goal of the game against Swansea to breathe new life into the Blues' bid to win the Premier League."
