Giants WR Nicks out for Sunday

WR Hakeem Nicks is listed as doubtful for the Giants' big NFC East battle with the Eagles Sunday evening with foot/knee injuries. He did not practice Friday.

Good news for the Giants came when S Antrel Rolle returned to practice on a limited basis after staying inside the team's training facility Thursday while nursing the bruised and lacerated knee he injured against the Panthers in Week Three.

Nicks, who was inactive for the win at Carolina because of foot soreness, was hurt during his 10-catch, 199-yard performance vs. the Buccaneers on Sept. 16.

After practicing Thursday, Nicks sat out Friday's workout. He has missed consecutive games twice previously in his career — as a rookie on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27, 2009 and on Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, 2010.
Regarding Rolle's playing status for Sunday, head coach Tom Coughlin made no commitment, saying, “He moved around OK, I think. He’s making progress.”
Rolle has started all 39 regular-season and postseason games since joining the team in 2010.

Three Giants are listed as out for the Philly game — OT David Diehl (knee), CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring) and LB Keith Rivers (hamstring).
