New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and center David Baas recently each had surgery, coach Tom Coughlin told reporters Friday at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Nicks had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, which contributed to him missing three games. Nicks also had trouble recovering from a right foot injury. He finished the season with 53 catches for 692 yards and three touchdowns.
Coughlin did not provide details on Baas' surgery, saying that he had work done "on his body." The Newark Star-Ledger reported that Baas had "multiple procedures." He played in all 16 games despite ankle, elbow, hand, hip and shoulder injuries throughout the season.
