Giants waive PK Buehler, sign FB D'Imperio

Kicker David Buehler was waived by the New York Giants, who filled his roster spot with fullback Ryan D'Imperio.

Buehler played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2009-11 and was signed by the Giants on Feb. 13 after not playing in the NFL last season. Known for having a strong leg but lacking great accuracy, Buehler handled kickoff duties for the Cowboys in 2009, 2010 and for four games in 2011.

D'Imperio played in two preseason games for the Kansas City Chiefs last season, but did not appear in the regular season and was waived May 13. D'Imperio was originally a seventh-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2010.
