Giants hope Phillips' return can stop bleeding

Giants SS Kenny Phillips sprained the MCL in his right knee and the injury is considered “week to week,” according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

Phillips suffered the injury in Sunday night’s loss to the Eagles when trying to tackle RB LeSean McCoy.

The fifth-year veteran has started every game this season and has 15 tackles and one pass defensed. He had 82 tackles and four picks last season. The Giants do get S Tyler Sash back this week from his four-game suspension.
