Giants spend big on kick returner Dwayne Harris

Kick returner Dwayne Harris' five-year deal with the New York Giants will pay an average of $3.5 million per season with $7.1 million guaranteed, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Harris spent his entire four years in the league in Dallas, where he averaged 26.5 yards per return and scored three touchdowns as a receiver and two as a punt returner.

Last season he ranked 10th in the NFL in punt return average (9.2) and 13th in kickoff return average (24.7). As a receiver over the past two seasons, Harris totaled 16 catches for 196 yards.
