Giants may deal Pence, Lincecum, Lopez

The San Francisco Giants are willing to trade right fielder Hunter Pence, right-handed starter Tim Lincecum and reliever Javier Lopez, but the asking price for Pence and Lincecum is steep, according to CBS Sports.

All three players are pending free agents at the end of the year.

The Giants plan to make one-year qualifying offers to Pence and Lincecum at the end of the season, which is expected to be in the $14 million range. If the players do not accept the offers and go other teams, the Giants would receive draft picks as compensation.

Pence is expected to be in high demand since the free agent market will be thin on outfielders. The Texas Rangers and Pittsburgh Pirates are believed to be among the teams most interested in Pence. The Kansas City Royals could also be in the mix.

Lincecum may be harder to deal because of this $21 million salary. He is very popular with the team and fan base despite struggling for a second straight season.
