Giants activate FB Hynoski

New York Giants fullback Henry Hynoski was activated from the physically unable to perform list three months to the day he was injured in offseason team activities. Hynoski is on schedule to make his 28th career start in the regular-season opener against the Washington Redskins.

Hynoski was hurt when he collided with teammate Andre Brown on a running play and diagnosed with a medial collateral ligament injury and a chip fracture to the lateral plateau (tibia).

Hynoski underwent surgery to repair the ligament and the fracture and immediately set out to return by September.

"I am going to set my mind to being ready for the first game of the regular season," said Hynoski on May 22. "They said that is not an unrealistic goal, and I will do everything in my power to be ready for the start of the season."
