Stanton (shoulder) took batting practice Tuesday afternoon and didn't experience any discomfort, Joe Frisario of MLB.com reports. "He took batting practice, and we're just going to wait and see the way it responds," manager Mike Redmond
said. "He hasn't done anything in five days. We'll see how it feels throughout the day, and tomorrow, and we'll go from there."
Recommendation: Tuesday marked Stanton's first batting practice session since Friday. Stanton isn't ready to return, but it's undoubtedly a step in the right direction. An MRI taken Saturday revealed a bruise, but Stanton reported considerable progress after Tuesday's workout.
