Green finished 11-22 (6-14 from three-point range) and 8-8 from the free throw line, in a solid performance. Phoenix also got solid performances from Goran Dragic with 21 points and 14 assists, P.J. Tucker with 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Markieff Morris with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Evan Fournier had a rare quality performance off the bench for Denver in the loss, putting up 25 points on 8-19 shooting (3-8 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 6-7 from the free throw line. He also recorded 8 rebounds. Kenneth Faried added 21 points and 10 rebounds and J.J. Hickson finished with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
The Nuggets posted an eFG% of just 40.9%, including 17.9% from 3-point range. This year, they are 1-9 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Suns are 7-2 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
