For a second time this year, Georgia’s Jonathan Ledbetter was arrested on alcohol-related charges.

According to multiple outlets, Ledbetter, a freshman defensive lineman, was booked early Sunday morning for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was also charged with underage possession of alcohol.

According to UGASports.com, Ledbetter was booked into Athens-Clarke County jail at 6:05 a.m. and remained in custody as of 9 a.m. ET.

The 18-year-old Ledbetter was previously arrested in March for underage possession of alcohol and false identification after trying to enter a bar. Police said he was “very inebriated,” but the charges were dismissed in May because of the way officers “obtained information determining Ledbetter’s age.” Athens-Clarke Solicitor General C.R. Chisholm told reporters that Ledbetter’s license was grabbed from his wallet by an officer before the officer spoke to him.

After the first arrest, Georgia coach Kirby Smart said Ledbetter, a sophomore, would be suspended for the Bulldogs’ season opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3. However, after the charges were dropped, Smart would not say if the suspension would be upheld.

Ledbetter played in seven games for the Bulldogs in 2015, registering four tackles. He was a highly-recruited four-star recruit in UGA’s 2015 class.
