Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has announced that attacker Rodrigo Palacio will leave the club for Inter in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old had long been linked with a move to the Giuseppe Meazza side, and Preziosi has now confirmed that both clubs have reached an agreement about a transfer fee.
"Rodrigo Palacio will be an Inter player next season. We have reached an agreement about a transfer," Preziosi said to reporters.
The Argentina international has yet to agree personal terms with Inter.
The 2010 Champions League winner is in the market for attacking reinforcements because Mauro Zarate is expected to return to Lazio this summer after a one-year loan spell, while Diego Forlan has also been linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri.
Palacio joined Genoa from Boca Juniors in the summer of 2009, and has since developed into one of the most prolific strikers in Serie A.
