Garrett: Cowboys expect to keep NT Ratliff

The SportsXchange

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett told NFL.com Friday that the team will retain nose tackle Jay Ratliff despite his recent DUI arrest and the $5 million he is due to make this season.

Ratliff is coming off a season in which he had 16 tackles in six games and was unable to stay healthy.

Despite that, Garrett said he "absolutely" expects Ratliff to be on the 2013 roster and that he is highly productive when healthy. Garrett also expects Ratliff to fit in well with the defense's new 4-3 alignment.
