Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Garnett will not drop no-trade clause

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett told reporters Saturday that there is no circumstance that would lead him to drop his no-trade.

Garnett's name recently surfaced in a rumored deal that would send him to the Los Angeles Clippers for center DeAndre Jordan and guard Eric Bledsoe.

But Garnett said he will remain a Celtic for the rest of his career.

"Why would I come back and make the visits to rally this team to go further only to be set up to have change?" he said during a media session at NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston.

Reporters asked Garnett how often Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge talks to him about trade scenarios.

"Do I need to call Danny right now?" Garnett said.

The All-Star took repeated questions about the trade topic, even though he reiterated that he will not drop his no-trade clause.

"That's what today's going to be about it," Garnett said. "This is what y'all want to talk about today? You want to talk about trades?"

But he acknowledged that he knows his name will come up since the trade deadline is Thursday.

"I get it. I get it," he said. "It's all good. If it's up to me, I'm going to live and die green all day."
