Galliani: Milan targeting top-three finish

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has denied falling out with club president Silvio Berlusconi, despite reports to the contrary.

The daughter of the former Italy prime minister insisted on Wednesday that her father and his second-in-command at the Rossoneri remain "on the same path".

Galliani, who reports have claimed has disagreed with the Milan owner over key issues on how to run the club, reiterated Barbara Berlusconi's rhetoric and insisted that there has not been a fall-out.

"My personal and professional relationship with Silvio Berlusconi dates back 33 years," Galliani wrote on Thursday in a press release on Milan's website.

"The reciprocal affection and respect has never been cracked by the normal dialectics that characterize every human and professional relationship, neither in the past nor today, contrary to what I have read.

"Only yesterday Barbara Berlusconi commented on this theme. What she said, and only what she said, is the truth."

Milan scored two late goals against Siena in its final Serie A game of the season to finish third and secure a spot in the Champions League playoffs next campaign.
