The LA Galaxy will host Club Tijuana in an exhibition game at the Home Depot Center on Feb. 19 in a matchup between the reigning MLS and Liga MX champions.
Tijuana’s first game in the Copa Libertadores tournament will be played against Millonarios the same day, meaning that players who do not travel to Colombia will face the Galaxy.
Tijuana won the Apertura title in December to complete earn a spot in the Copa Libertadores. The club was formed in 2007 and has been a popular team among American soccer fans as it features three Americans - Joe Corona, Edgar Casillas and Greg Garza - who made significant contributions in last year's title run.
The Galaxy Academy U-18 side will face Tijuana’s U-18 squad as part of the event earlier in the day.
