LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Tyler Johnson scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Fresno State survived a late rally to edge Utah State 79-76 Saturday night.
Paul Watson had 20 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the 3-point line for the Bulldogs (14-14, 7-8 Mountain West Conference), while Marvelle Harris added 15.
Trailing by as many as 16 points in the first half, USU took the lead, 45-44 with 15:52 to play on a layup by Roland. FSU responded with a basket by Harris and extended it to 67-61 with 7:58 to play on a Watson three-pointer. USU clawed back to 70-68 on two Davis free throws with four minutes in the game, but Fresno survived USU's late-game pressure defense to claim the win.
