Recommendation: What Jackson is hoping for and what the doctors say could end up being two different things. Coach Chan Gailey is saying the injury could be several more weeks than just three, though we'll also note if anyone is going to hit the earlier timeline it's Jackson, who would almost certainly be on the field to play rival New England if cleared. The bottom line, however, is we won't have a clearer timetable until Jackson is re-examined in 7-10 days, and even then there's another factor in just how well C.J. Spiller can perform in his absence. Spiller gained 169 yards on the ground this week, so no matter how it plays out from here, Spiller's value just took a major spike up and Jackson's just the opposite.
Update: Jackson, who suffered a right knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Jets, said he's targeting the New England game in Week 4 for his return, The Buffalo News reports.
