Recommendation: What Jackson is able to do in Thursday and Friday practice will likely be better indicators of his status for Week 4. Jackson also says he'll be watching closely how things feel a day after this first practice. So, while he still has a chance to play against New England this week, just remember that even if he does suit up you won't be getting anything close to the usual Fred Jackson. He hasn't played in two weeks, still has effects of the injury, and has to wear a brace that he's not entirely comfortable with. This may be a process for at least the next few weeks.
Update: Jackson did not feel as good as hoped during Wednesday's practice, his first full practice with the team since suffering a sprained right knee during Week 1, The Buffalo News reports. "There were some things that I liked, but there's a lot of stuff that I've got to work on, too," Jackson said.
