Recommendation: Cordero came over to Houston in a trade back on July 20, and his stint with the club was nothing short of disastrous. He blew his first three save opportunities for the Astros before being removed from the closer role, and he allowed 11 runs in his five innings for the team (19.80 ERA). A toe injury has kept the 37-year-old right-hander out since early August, and it appears his time as a major league pitcher may be over.
