Former South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is doing a press tour to promote his new memoir “Head Ball Coach,” but apparently someone at Fox News didn’t get an advance copy.

OK, so Fox News is a news station and not a sports station, but come on people, it’s on the cover of the book with arrows and everything.

The nickname “Head Game Coach” feels like it should be reserved for Steve Spurrier’s cheaper and less quotable doppelganger.

Despite Fox News’ gaffe, Spurrier’s book, which was released Tuesday, is ranked No. 1 among football books on Amazon.com. Just don’t read the reviews, which appear dominated by some still bitter fans.
