Center fielder Dexter Fowler avoided arbitration with the Colorado Rockies, agreeing to a two-year, $11.6 million contract on Monday. Fowler, who made $2.35 million last season, batted a career-high .300 with 13 home runs, 53 RBI, 12 stolen bases, a .389 on-base percentage and an .475 slugging percentage in 2012. The 26-year-old Fowler will make $3.25 million this season and $7.25 million in 2014, according to the Denver Post.
