Former Miami (Ohio) coach Coles dies

Charlie Coles, longtime men's basketball coach at Miami (Ohio), died at age 71.

The school announced Coles' death via Twitter on Friday. He coached the RedHawks from 1996-2012, winning 266 career games at his alma mater, including three NCAA Tournament appearances. He was a Miami assistant for two seasons before taking over as head coach.

Coles is the school's all-time leading in victories.
