Parrish Cobb has found his new school.

The defensive back originally signed with Baylor in February but was released from his Letter of Intent following the firing of coach Art Briles. Friday, he signed with Oklahoma.

Cobb, a native of Waco, Texas, is a four-star defensive back and the No. 12 cornerback in the class of 2016 according to Rivals. He was one of five players Baylor first released from their commitments after the hiring of acting coach Jim Grobe.

His father said Grobe had made a visit to the Cobb family house before the school released Parrish in an effort to convince him to stay a Bear but that Parrish’s mind was made up to go to another school.

Baylor has lost half of its original 2016 recruiting class either through transfer or via releasing players from their commitments. Cobb originally committed to Oklahoma verbally in 2015 before committing to Baylor just before signing day.
