Philadelphia Flyers forward Brayden Schenn has been suspended for one game by the NHL for a hit to the head on the New Jersey Devils' Anton Volchenkov during the Flyers' 3-0 loss on Tuesday. The incident occurred midway through the second period, and Schenn was not penalized on the play. Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Schenn will forfeit $4,702.70. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund. Schenn has one assist in three games this season.
