Floyd Mayweather Invites Fans to Open Workout Live Stream: Fan Reaction

Floyd "Money" Mayweather has two requests posted on Twitter on Monday, April 23, 2012:

    1. "Follow the Queen of TheMoneyTeam-- @MsJackson"

    2. Watch his live training session with the media on Tuesday, April 24th starting at 6:45 pm ET / 3:45 pm PT.

"Floyd 'Money' Mayweather invites boxing fans around the globe to tune into his media workout as he streams it live on his website www.floydmayweather.com. Mayweather wants to give fans a preview of what's in store on May 5 when he takes on Miguel Cotto from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, produced and distributed live by HBO PPV." source

Does Floyd have more haters than fans?

Floyd "Money" Mayweather, Jr. has 257,047 followers on Instagram, the photo sharing service and 2,685,680 followers on Twitter. So, why does it seem like so many people grumble and complain whenever his name gets mentioned? Does the high follower count include his haters too?

On Twitter, @ESPN asked the question and included a link to an article, "Do we treat Floyd fairly? (Part 2)". Wow. The subject needs to be covered in two parts?

I say let the man enjoy himself. He's cocky. He's loud. He's proud. He likes toys with big engines and all the same color - white. He starts conversations with his fans on Twitter, "TheMoneyTeam w/ @50cent -- Lifestyle Flashy -- http://instagr.am/p/JxFB5sR3ex/" featuring a photo of the aforementioned cars.

Probably, most male fans would behave differently if they were Floyd. Right?

If you prefer a quiet, steady family man, then cheer for Miguel Cotto on May 5th. He's fierce and strong and just as proud as Floyd is of his ability in the ring and what he's accomplished in his career.

I watched HBO's "24/7 Mayweather vs Cotto". Loyalty is a theme running through both fighters lives. Here's Floyd with one of the men Floyd depends on, his uncle, Roger Mayweather. "This is what you call loyalty http://instagr.am/p/JvV54SR3cx/"

    Don't fight the feeling

Let the grumbling begin..."Just posted a photo http://instagr.am/p/JxDfJfx3eP/", Floyd tweeted a photo of himself with President Obama.

Seriously, if you were Floyd, life would be one fun day after another.

Two boxers who have the option to choose which man they'd like to emulate--and appearing on the HBO PPV card on May 5th along with Mayweather/Cotto are Jessie Vargas and DeAndre Latimore.

    Jessie Vargas

Undefeated rising star, Jessie Vargas, a Mayweather Promotions fighter, who is scheduled for Ring Kings, May 5th, in Las Vegas for a 10-round welterweight fight, is hopeful for a positive outcome in his bout against Alfonso Gomez. "After my win against Lanardo Tyner in February, I feel more confident than ever and I am ready to add Alfonso Gomez to my list of victories. I know that Gomez is an aggressive power-punching fighter, but I'm more skilled. I'm looking forward to May 5 and making my family and my team proud of me and giving the fans a great show.

I know that 'Ring Kings: Mayweather vs. Cotto' is the biggest fight of the year and I'm excited to be featured on the pay-per-view undercard. This is the second time I have fought on HBO PPV, which is something that some fighters never get to do in their careers, so I am not taking it for granted. I'm ready to show the world what I'm about and what I have to offer.

I have the opportunity to train with Floyd Mayweather and see how hard he works every time he steps into the gym. He is hands-down the best boxer of this era and I am so fortunate to be able to work with him, to be a part of Mayweather Promotions and have a great team in my corner. "

    DeAndre Latimore

Super welterweight contender, DeAndre Latimore, another Mayweather Promotions fighter, is delighted to be on the Mayweather team. He faces Carlos Quintana in a 10 round bout on May 5th at Ring Kings. "As a member of Mayweather Promotions, I know have the opportunity to learn from the best. Floyd always drives home the point that focus, determination, hard work and a good game plan are keys to being a winner. I've allowed this to become my frame of mind and I work hard to meet the expectations and goals I've set for myself.

Prior to February of this year, I 'd taken a lot of time off from boxing and it feels great to finally get back in the ring. Carlos Quintana may have experience on his side, but I'm younger and I'm more aggressive than him. I'm coming off three consecutive wins and I'm determined to add a fourth to my list, when I face him May 5th, in the biggest fight--and on the biggest night of my career."
