Florida State loses leading tackler to ACL injury

Defensive end Tank Carradine, Florida State's leading tackler, will miss the Atlantic Coast Conference title game and the Seminoles' bowl game after tearing an anterior-cruciate ligament in Saturday's loss to Florida.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher announced on Monday that Carradine's season is over. He added that the injury occurred without contact.

Not only does Carradine lead the team in tackles with 80, but he is second on the team in sacks, with 11, and tackles for loss, with 13.

Freshmen Mario Edwards Jr. and Giorgio Newberry are expected to replace Carradine for FSU, which faces Georgia Tech in the ACC championship game.
