CHICAGO (AP) -- Chris Flores scored 16 points and went 4 for 4 from 3-point range as NJIT defeated Chicago State 63-58 on Saturday night.

Odera Nweke and Ky Howard added 10 points each for the Highlanders (13-11, 4-1 Great West), who have won six straight games between the schools. Howard had nine rebounds.

Jeremy Robinson had 20 points, six rebounds and five blocked shots for the Cougars (7-17, 2-3). Quinton Pippen added 18 points and made six 3-pointers.

Pippen's 3-pointer gave Chicago State a 53-48 cushion with 6:18 remaining, but it was the Cougars' last points for almost five minutes. Meanwhile, Flores had six points and Howard four during a 12-0 run by NJIT.

Chicago State missed 2 of its last 12 shots.
