1. Worries for Seattle at number two seed?

The Seattle Seahawks looked to be in good shape after three straight victories, including a win over the New England Patriots. However, a recent visit to Tampa Bay stunted their momentum. Seattle dropped to 7-3-1 with a loss in week 12. The Seahawks will need to finish strong in order to lock up a first round bye into the playoffs.

2. New York Giants on more than a hot streak?

A 2-3 start gave off plenty of negativity around New York. However, the Giants have now won six straight games, and look to continue winning to slide into the playoffs. Will their streak continue? Only time will tell. The next three weeks will feature are a hard slate of games for the Giants against Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Detroit. There is little room for error. Especially against a schedule like that.

3. Washington Redskins vying for a playoff spot?

At 6-4-1, Washington is not exactly where they want to be. Despite that fact, the Redskins are still in control of their own destiny. They are the current number six seed in the NFC playoff race. Should they win the majority of their final matchups, Washington will have a solid opportunity to make their bid for the wild card.

4. Atlanta Falcons inconsistent?

Consistency is everything in the NFL, especially as teams wind down the final stretch of the season. The Falcons started out playing exceptional football but have slowly lost their momentum. An impress start to four wins Despite a recent win against the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta has lost two of their last three. If they want any crack at the playoffs, the Falcons will be forced to get into a groove down the later part of the schedule.

5. Who’s out?

While nothing is impossible yet, the Carolina Panthers have dug themselves too great of a hole. The Panthers tried to make a mid season surge back into the playoff race but a tough loss in week 12 seemed to slow their roll. Carolina lost a close, stinging defeat on the road in Oakland. A 4-7 performance is quite a step down from 2015. Panthers fans are wondering how their magic escaped.
