A celebration is under way in Perthshire, Scotland, to mark one year to go before the start of the 40th Ryder Cup Matches, set to take place Sept. 23-28, 2014, at the Gleneagles Hotel Centenary Course.
U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Tom Watson and European counterpart Paul McGinley are in Scotland to take part in all the year-out festivities.
PGA.com will have extensive coverage of all the events over the next two days, including live streaming coverage of a press conference scheduled for 7:05 AM EST on Tuesday, with captains Watson and McGinley.
The 2014 Ryder Cup will be the first time since 1973 at Muirfield that the matches have been contested in Scotland.
Europe has won five of the last six Ryder Cup matches, including a miraculous come-from-behind victory in 2012 at Medinah, where the team trailed 10-6 going into Sunday's singles matches.
The last time the U.S. won was in 2008 at Valhalla.
