Five Giants to Watch Vs. The Steelers: Fan Preview

Yahoo Contributor Network

The New York Giants will host the Pittsburgh Steelers at MetLife Stadium in a battle of two of the National Football League's most storied franchises on Sunday, November 4 at 4:25 p.m. EST. Will the game live up to the hype? It will from the Giants' side of the ball, if these five players have big games.

Eli Manning (QB) -- I try not to include Manning in my five to watch because, well, he's obviously the one to watch every week. However, this is a great match-up. Manning, who has the sixth-most passing yards in the NFL with 2,301, will take aim at the top-ranked passing defense in the league.

Ahmad Bradshaw (RB) -- One of my keys to beating the Steelers is establishing the run. Naturally, they need the physical Bradshaw to do it. Pittsburgh has the eighth-ranked defense in the league and is No. 5 against the run, but getting Bradshaw going could soften up the secondary for a big play.

Hakeem Nicks (WR) -- I predicted a breakout game for Nicks against the Dallas Cowboys last week. Boy, was I wrong (he finished with four catches for 46 yards). I'm not going to call for another big game, but Nicks could stretch the Steelers' tight pass defense, especially with safety Troy Polamalu out.

Corey Webster (CB) -- Webster is not having his best season, but the experienced defensive back remains one of the leaders on defense. And he must to step up this week against the Steelers, who employ a group of dangerous receivers, including burners Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown.

Michael Boley (LB) -- Chase Blackburn is out. Jacquian Williams is out. That leaves Michael Boley as the team's best and most experienced active linebacker. He better keep tabs on Pittsburgh's pass-catching tight end Heath Miller, who has 336 yards receiving and a team-leading six touchdowns.
