FIRST LOOK: Jimmy Fallon Is Jumping for Joy in New Golden Globe Awards Promos

Jimmy Fallon is jumping for joy about hosting the 2017 Golden Globe Awards!

In an exclusive first look at the annual awards’ promos, The Tonight Show host is doing what Fallon does best: making people laugh.

“You have to wait until January 8th,” reads one promo that includes a photo of Fallon, 42, pretending to shield the golden statue from photographers.

“Light up the night,” a second ad reads, which showcases a jumping Fallon skipping from star to star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Lastly, the third and final promo shows the NBC host trying to hold three Golden Globes in his hands without allowing them to drop. “A lot of gold to give,” the poster reads.

On Thanksgiving, the father of two released his first video promo for the Jan. 8 awards. Alongside his Tonight Show bandleader, Fallon attempts to light up the holiday season with Christmas lights — and fails.

“OK, Questlove, this is it — the big reveal! This is what I’m doing January 8th,” Fallon says. Unfortunately, what was supposed to spell out “Golden Globes” in lights on the roof of a house, short circuits into the hilarious “Old Globs.”

On Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live coast-to-coast on NBC at 8 p.m. ET from the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
