The San Jose Earthquakes defeated FC Dallas 2-1 despite playing half of the match with just 10 players.

Things looked dark for San Jose when Shea Salinas was judged to have committed a reckless foul on Zach Loyd just before halftime and was shown a red card.
But despite the dismissal, the Earthquakes got another goal, going up 2-0 when Dallas' David Texeira put a Sam Cronin free kick past his own goalkeeper.
Dallas made it 2-1 wth a powerful Michel free kick in the 76th but couldn't find another as San Jose held on to claim all the points.
