FB Lane, OG Louis among Dolphins' cuts

Fullback Jarvorskie Lane was waived and offensive guard Lance Louis had his contract terminated as the Miami Dolphins trimmed their roster to Tuesday's 75-player limit.

Also released were: linebackers Michael Clay, Nathan Williams and David Hinds, wide receivers Jeff Fuller, Julius Pruitt and Andrell Smith and defensive end Emeka Onyenekwu.

--Rookie defensive end Dion Jordan, who continues to rehab his injured shoulder, returned to some team drills Tuesday and has not been ruled out of Thursday's preseason finale against New Orleans.

"We would never want to put any player out there on the practice field we wouldn't feel confident he was healthy and able to perform his job well, whether it is Dion Jordan or anybody else on the football team," coach Joe Philbin said. "Yeah obviously you're always concerned, but we wouldn't put him out here if we didn't feel like he was ready to go."
