The NFL kicks off each week with a Thursday night game, giving fantasy football players a chance to grab an early lead over their opponents days before Sunday's games even begin. Week Four started with a Thursday matchup featuring the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, teams that include several impact fantasy players.
Below are a few fantasy football notes from the Week Four Thursday night game.
Flacco is becoming a great fantasy quarterback option. He passed for 356 yards against the Browns, leading Baltimore to a 23-16 win. It was Flacco's fourth-highest passing total in his career and gave him 738 yards in his last two games.
Smith had his second straight solid fantasy performance, catching six passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. Last week he had six receptions, 127 yards and two scores, and he has topped 50 receiving yards in every game this year.
Boldin's 131 receiving yards in the Ravens win were the most he has totaled since October of last year and his fourth highest total since arriving in Baltimore. Boldin scored a touchdown in the first game this year, but he had been quiet the last two weeks.
Rice had an average night with just under 100 total yards of offense, boosted by his eight catches for 47 receiving yards. He has nearly 500 yards of total offense already this season, adding 22 receptions and three touchdowns.
Richardson caught four passes for 57 yards and added 47 rushing yards. He also scored a rushing touchdown, giving him a good fantasy night. He now has 344 total yards and four touchdowns this season.
Although Weeden's team is now 0-4, he did pass for 320 yards in the loss to the Ravens. He now has two 300-yard games and is doing a good job of spreading the ball around to different receivers. Greg Little, Jordan Norwood and Benjamin Watson each had more than 50 receiving yards. Weeden did not throw for a touchdown and did have one pass intercepted.
