In order to acquire the four-time Pro Bowl cornerback on Wednesday, the Falcons restructured the contract of guard Justin Blalock, who was re-signed just last summer.Falcons are believed to have moved some numbers around to lower Blalock’s cap number of $5.3 million this season. Blalock received a $38 million, six-year contract last summer.
Before bringing Samuel aboard, the Falcons had $2.6 million in cap room. Previously, the club had re-worked the deal of cornerback Dunta Robinson.
