Falcons sign Bear Pascoe following workout

With Tony Gonzalez retired, the Atlanta Falcons need some tight end depth.

With the No. 6 overall pick, assuming the Falcons stay put, reaching for a tight end that early is out of the question. As a result, it appears the Falcons are looking for some answers in free agency for the position.

According to a report from FOX Sports, the Falcons worked out former Giants tight end Bear Pascoe on Thursday. And following that workout, the Falcons announced that they have in fact signed Pascoe to their offseason roster.

Atlanta's top three tight ends before Pascoe's signing were Levine Toilolo, Mickey Shuler and Andrew Szczerba. It wouldn't be out of the question to see the Falcons grab another tight end during the draft at some point either.
