Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Falcons cutting Tyson Clabo

National Football Post

The Atlanta Falcons released some key veterans before free agency opened, making tough decision as they reshape their roster with an eye toward being a favorite in the NFC again this coming season.

Now, they are letting another veteran player go.

Chad Speck announced via Twitter this morning that the Falcons have informed the agent they will release right tackle Tyson Clabo today. Clabo has been a mainstay on the right side of the line in Atlanta and he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2010. He has not missed a game in five seasons.

Lamar Holmes and Mike Johnson could compete during the offseason to take Clabo’s spot. According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the move will be made as a post-June 1 cut for accounting purposes and that will save the club $4.5 million against the salary cap.

Clabo joins a crowd of experienced right tackles in free agency. Andre Smith and Eric Winston are among players seeking work.
