Express Scripts 'Play Like the Pros' at Bellerive CC

ST. LOUIS -- PGA of America officials announced today the start of a brand new event called "Play Like the Pros," which will take place at Bellerive Country Club on Monday, May 27 -- the day after the conclusion of the 74th Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid. The event raises funds for PGA REACH, an organization whose mission is to improve lives through golf in the St. Louis area.

Play Like the Pros will offer participants a once-in-a-lifetime experience to play Bellerive under Championship conditions. Participants will have the option of playing the same tees as the pros with Sunday hole locations, green speeds, and rough lengths. Even the bleachers and hospitality tents will still be up from the Championship.

"You'll have the chance to hit from the same tees, swing on the same fairways and putt off the same greens as Tom Watson and defending champion Roger Chapman did less than 24 hours prior," said Josh Riley, Executive Director of the Gateway Section PGA. "It's a great way to experience Championship-caliber golf and support the important community work of PGA REACH."

PGA REACH was created to utilize the upcoming PGA of America Championships at Bellerive Country Club to focus on the areas of Recreation, Education, Awareness, Community, and Health. PGA REACH will work with existing organizations that are already positively affecting the lives of young men and women in the community by extending their capabilities and impact, making additional time, talent and financial resources available to them. The collaborative and focused activities of these groups will have a significant influence on youth in the St. Louis area.

PGA REACH directly supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, Urban K-Life and Boys and Girls Club of Greater St. Louis. Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, President of the Gateway PGA Foundation, is committed to participate in Play Like the Pros. Express Scripts is supporting Play Like The Pros by serving as title sponsor.

FORMAT -- Participants can sign up as individuals ($2,500) or a foursome ($10,000) -- Four-person teams, shotgun start (either 8:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.) playing all 18 holes
