    Ex-champion Hewitt receives Wimbledon wild card

    LONDON (AP) Wimbledon organizers say former champion Lleyton Hewitt has received one of several wild cards for the tournament, which begins June 25.

    The 109th-ranked David Goffin of Belgium got a wild card. He made his Grand Slam debut at the French Open, winning the first set against Roger Federer in a quarterfinal match.

    German veteran Tommy Haas also received a wild card in the draw Tuesday, along with four British players.

    On the women's side, Virginie Razzano of France and Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan each received a wild card after impressive performances at the French Open.

    The 62nd-ranked Shvedova reached the quarterfinals and No. 90 Razzano defeated Serena Williams in the first round.
