The Viola's fellow Italian side Lazio faces a trip to Turkey to face Trabzonspor, as well as meetings with Legia and Apollon.
English outfit Wigan, which won the FA Cup last season only to then be relegated, lines up in Group D alongside Rubin Kazan, Maribor and Zulte Waregem.
As for the American contingent in the competition, AZ Alkmaar and Aron Johannsson will face PAOK, Maccabi Haifa and Shakhter Karagandy, while Rapid Vienna and Terrence Boyd will meet Dynamo Kiev, Genk and Thun.
