Erik Perez Lands on Hometown Card at UFC Fight Night in Albuquerque

The UFC Fight Night Albuquerque card continues to fill up as UFC officials on Monday confirmed Erik Perez would face Bryan Caraway in a bantamweight bout at the June 7 event at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, N.M. The Albuquerque Journal first reported the bout.

Perez (14-5) joins a host his teammates from the Jackson-Winkeljohn gym on the hometown card, including Rustam Khabilov, Diego Sanchez, and John Dodson.

He enters the fight having won four of his five bouts in the Octagon. His only loss under the UFC banner was a split decision at the hands of Takeya Mizugaki, but he bounced back with a dominant performance against Edwin Figueroa at UFC 167 late last year.

Caraway (18-6) has won three of his four UFC bouts. Also losing a split decision to Mizugaki, he got back on the winning track with a submission of Johnny Bedford at UFC 159 last spring.

Khabilov headlines the June 7 fight card in a five-round non-title bout with former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson.
