Update: The Blue Jays traded Thames to the Mariners for reliever Steve Delabar on Monday, MLB Network reports.
Recommendation: The good news is that Thames has a clearer path to playing time with a new organization; the bad news is that he'll ply his wares in Safeco Field when he gets the call from the Mariners. He'll get work at the corner outfield spots while Franklin Gutierrez remains out with injury. When Gutierrez returns, Thames will at least be the fourth outfielder with Casper Wells in right field and Michael Saunders in left.
